This checkpoint's colour scheme consists primarily of dark purple. The backgrounds appear in purple with a pale yellow gradient.
Like Checkpoint 2, the difficulty is also largely increased. Many obstacles that appear here provide much challenge. A new type of crystal is also encountered for the first time: octahedral crystals.
Along with additional glass obstacles, lazers, a new type of hazard, are introduced in the fourth segment. The third segment features a new gameplay mechanic, 360 degree view, where the player's point of view rotates 360 degrees. These features present a challenge to the player and ultimately makes the game harder.
